The main nearest large town to target
is Baud, which is just off the N24, midway between Pontivy and Vannes,
to the west of Locmine.
There are a number of ways to get to Baud
but one of the easiest routes to follow from all ports, other than Roscoff, is to get onto the N137 to Rennes.
As you approach Rennes, just before
the traffic lights, take the right hand slip road - N136 to Lorient.
After a short while, take the N24 turning to Lorient.
Stay on the N24 west, all the way to Baud,
passing Ploermel, Josselin and Locmine on
the way. It will take about an hour from Rennes.
There are a number of exits signposted for Baud
off the N24, but take the one signposted D768
to Baud and Auray.
On the roundabout go around to the exit for Baud,
being careful to pass, and not take, the lorry route exit to Baud (which
actually takes you back onto the N24 – so annoying!).
(Those travelling from Roscoff
via Pontivy will be on this road,
the D768).
Heading towards Baud town centre, go
straight over the mini-roundabout in front of the InterMarche
and then at the next mini-roundabout, take the first right turn signposted D142
to St Barthelemy (6 kms).
Go straight on through St Barthelemy towards St
Thuriau, still on the D142. At St Thuriau, take the right hand turn opposite the
church, signposted St Hilaire.
A few hundred yards on is a left turn to Mouflon
- you are looking at Mouflon on your
left - welcome and well done!
